MyGentic, LLC (“MyGentic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a personal context layer for artificial intelligence. Our service stores the profile, preferences, memory, and history that make up your personal context, connects to the third party tools and data sources you authorize, and routes that context together with your requests to third party AI model providers so that the AI tools you already use can respond with knowledge of you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and process your personal data when you use mygentic.io, the MyGentic applications, and our related products and features (together, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them, which are set out in Section 4 (Rights and Choices). Please read it carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Personal Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data.
Data you provide to us directly
Identity and Contact Data
When you create an account, we collect identifiers such as your name and email address, and, if you enable voice features, your phone number. Account creation and sign in are managed through our authentication provider.
Payment Information
If you purchase a subscription or license content, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We receive limited billing information such as the last four digits of your card, billing contact, and transaction history. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
Your Context Profile
The core of the Services is the personal context you build with us. This includes the information you supply during onboarding (for example, details you enter directly or import from a resume or professional profile), your answers to interview style prompts from our in product assistant, Sage, and the facts and preferences organized across the seven professional domains of your profile (for example professional identity, business and practice, clients and engagements, work and focus, goals and growth, communication and working style, and domain and market). You decide what to include, and you can review, edit, export, or delete this context at any time.
Inputs and Outputs
When you use the Services, you submit requests, prompts, and other content (“Inputs”), and the Services return synthesized responses (“Outputs”). If you include personal data in your Inputs, or reference content from connected sources, we process that information to produce your Outputs.
Voice Data
If you use Sage Voice or call features, we and our telephony provider process call audio and any transcripts generated from those calls so we can provide the feature.
Feedback
If you rate an Output or send us suggestions, we collect that feedback, and where you rate a specific response we may retain the related session so we can understand the context of your feedback.
Communications
If you contact support or otherwise communicate with us, we collect your contact details and the contents of your messages.
Data from the tools and sources you connect
A central feature of the Services is the ability to connect third party tools and data sources, including through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). When you authorize a connection, you direct us to access data from that tool or source so the Services can use it as part of your context, for example email, calendar, internet browser activity, and messaging context (for example from services such as Slack or Notion). We access this data only to the extent you authorize, only to provide the Services, and you can revoke any connection at any time. We do not access connected accounts for any purpose other than delivering the Services you request.
Data we receive automatically
Device and Connection Information
Consistent with your device or browser permissions, we receive technical data such as device type, operating system, browser type, mobile network or internet service provider, time zone, and IP address (including approximate location derived from it), along with device or online identifiers.
Usage Information
We collect information about how you use the Services, such as dates and times of access, features used, brains activated, agents built, pages viewed, and links clicked.
Log and Troubleshooting Information
We collect log files and information about errors, including the feature in use and the state of the application when an error occurred, so we can diagnose and fix problems.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control these through your browser settings and, where offered, our in product controls.
2. How We Use Personal Data
We use your personal data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including building and updating your context profile and synthesizing responses across the AI tools you connect;
- Route your context and Inputs to the third party AI model providers that generate your Outputs, and to the Expert Brains content you have licensed;
- Create and administer your account and process payments and subscriptions;
- Communicate with you about the Services, including service notices and, where permitted, product updates;
- Personalize your experience so your context travels consistently across connected tools;
- Prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our Usage Policy, protect the rights and safety of users and others, and meet legal and regulatory obligations;
- Investigate and resolve disputes, security issues, and errors; and
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Usage Policy.
We do not use your content to train foundation models, and we do not sell your personal data. We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you to understand and improve the Services, as described in Section 6.
3. How We Disclose Personal Data
We disclose personal data only as described here.
Third party AI model providers
To generate Outputs, we transmit your relevant context and Inputs to the model providers that power synthesis (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google). They process this content on our behalf as service providers under terms that, where available, prohibit using the content to train their models. Each provider also maintains its own privacy practices.
Service providers and infrastructure
We rely on vendors to host and operate the Services, including cloud hosting and storage, authentication, database, payment processing, and telephony for voice features. They may process personal data on our behalf to provide these functions and are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
Expert Brains publishers
Expert Brains is a marketplace of knowledge brains offered by independent third party publishers. When you license and activate a brain, the Services use that brain to help synthesize a response to your request. We do not give publishers access to your context profile, and we limit any data shared in connection with a brain to what is needed to deliver the response you asked for. Publishers are independent third parties responsible for their own brains.
Third party services and links you choose
When you connect or interact with a third party tool, you provide information directly to that third party under its own terms and privacy policy. Our linking to or integrating with a service does not mean we control or endorse it.
Corporate events
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
Legal, safety, and rights
We may disclose personal data to comply with law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, enforce our agreements, protect the rights, property, or safety of MyGentic, our users, or others, and prevent fraud or security issues.
With your direction or consent
We will otherwise disclose personal data when you direct us to or give us your consent.
4. Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights as required by applicable law, and we extend the core controls below to all users. Some rights are limited, and we may decline a request where we have a lawful basis to do so.
To exercise your rights, email us at privacy@mygentic.io. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Access and portability
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. The Services also let you export your context directly at any time.
Correction
You can correct inaccurate personal data, and you can edit your context profile directly in the Services at any time. We cannot guarantee the factual accuracy of AI generated Outputs.
Deletion
You can delete your context, individual items, or your entire account at any time through the Services. When you delete data, we remove it from your active profile and delete it from our systems within a commercially reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Revoke connections
You can disconnect any connected tool or data source at any time, which stops further access to that source.
Objection and restriction
Where applicable law provides, you can object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out.
Opt out of sale or sharing
We do not sell your personal data or share it for cross context behavioral advertising. If this ever changes, we will provide an opt out and honor recognized opt out signals.
5. Data Transfers
MyGentic is based in the United States, and we and our service providers process and store personal data in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries, which may have data protection laws different from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for international transfers.
6. Data Retention, De-Identification, and Security
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this Policy, and then delete or de-identify it as permitted or required by law. You can shorten retention for most data by deleting it yourself in the Services.
Aggregated or de-identified data
We may process personal data in aggregated or de-identified form to analyze and improve the Services. This information does not identify you, and we do not attempt to re-identify it except to investigate security or policy violations.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption of data at rest and in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us personal data, please contact us at privacy@mygentic.io and we will investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
9. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (providing the Services); your consent (which you can withdraw); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services in a way that does not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.
